Echo Park - Chillingsworth Manor

Can you believe that Halloween is just around the corner?... I am just shocked when I go out to the store and the Halloween stuff is already marked down and the Christmas stuff has been up for some time now. 

This week I was given the oh so awesome Echo Park - Chillingsworth. Some really like it and others are unsure how they feel about it. I myself love it. 

Here is what I came up with. 

I cut the hunted house using the Silhouette and made sure to roof the house using the Chillingsworth paper. There are also some steps covered with the paper pack and stickers from the collection pack. 

I really enjoyed working with this paper pack that I might be able to squeak a few more things out of it.

A WEEKEND WITH IRINA BLOUNT OF LA-LA LAND CRAFTS

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 20th & Sunday, October 21st! It will be a weekend full of creativity, coloring, and all out FUN.  

You can sign up HERE but you had better sign up fast, this IS expected to sell out and sell out quickly!  The cost for the entire weekend, four separate classes, is $225, that is a savings of $35!  Beginning October 1st, if there are spaces available, we will open up registration for individual classes.

Coloring with Copics Workshop with Irina

Be ready to take your coloring skills to the next level!  Join Irina for a full day of coloring with Copic Markers.  You will receive an exclusive spiral-bound Copic coloring journal designed by Irina.  In this Workshop we will cover:

- Advanced Skin and Hair coloring

- Contrast Coloring

- Coloring Folds and Pleats

- Creating Patterns

Altered Canvas Project Class with Irina

Just in time for Holidays!  We will make an Altered Canvas in Winter/Christmas theme in this class featuring NEW stamps and dies from La-La Land Crafts.  This canvas will make a great keepsake decoration piece that you can either hang on the wall or display it standing.  Make one for yourself or as a gift for someone special.

Please bring following supplies to this class:

-Your favorite dry and liquid adhesives

- Double sided tape

- Mod Podge

- Foam Brushes

- Rubber gloves (if you don't like getting your hands messy)

- Non-stick mat for working surface

- Cuttlebug (or other die cutting machine) with cutting plates

- Copic Markers for your personal use in the class

Various Occasions Card Class with Irina

In this class we will make three gorgeous cards for different occasions in various styles and designs.  These cards are finished inside and out and feature stamps and dies from La-La Land Crafts.

- Double sided tape

- Paper trimmer

- Cuttlebug (or other die cutting machine) with cutting plates

- Copic Markers for your personal use in the class

All about Boxes Project Class with Irina

In this class we will make three different boxes in various styles and designs - a Trinket Box, a Milk Carton Box and a Gift Box.  These projects feature stamps and dies from La–La Land Crafts.

- Double sided tape

- Cuttlebug (or other die cutting machine) with cutting plates

The Determined Scrapper - Design Team

Ok, so I finished this last week and I have been a little behind getting things up on the blogs and everywhere else. Sorry everyone. 

This card was made using the For the Record Documented by Echo Park. I also used the saying tag from Jillibean's new release. The banner tails were cut using Scrap Happy Die. 

This is a simple yet useful card for any occasion.

Summer Fun Kit

Hi Scrappers!!!!!

  Susie gave all of us on the design team the same "Summer Fun Kit", and asked us to create something.  Since creating something is what we do best. I think all of us agreed that these are not papers that we would have chosen but it was challenging and I truly enjoyed doing my first layout ever.  I hope you like it!!!  All items used for this layout are available in the Scrap Happy Ohio Store.

Pardon the interruption, Ladies and Gentlemen, but I have some breaking news just into the newsroom; photos have been leaked of Scrap Happy Ohio's September Kit Club projects!!!!  These photo's are normally kept under lock and key and are secret and previously unreleased!  This is BIG news my friends, if my sources are correct she used October Afternoon's new Cakewalk collection and you will receive TWO, yes TWO single page layouts, one double page layout and 6 cards.  This is unbelievable!!!!  Someone is going to be in some serious hot water when Susie finds out as these are while supplies last for anyone outside of the prestigious and exclusive Kit Club who will receive theirs guaranteed for only $20!!!!!!!!  These are going to fly off the shelves at $25 for non members.........stay tuned to this news outlet for further updates................

Summer's coming to a close but American Craft's Shoreline is still HOT!

This month Susie gave each member on the Design Team the EXACT SAME ITEMS to work with, so if you are seeing a little redundancy of product, don't adjust your screen, all is well :) .  It's because August has been a busy month for all of us, vacations, moving, sending children back to school, etc., but it is also a month of transition, out with the old and in with the new, all the new goodies from CHA are coming in daily and Susie has clearanced out tons of wonderful older items, up to 50% off.  Let me tell you, I'm no dummy, I took advantage of those deals and already have my eyes set on all the new stuff, !  Speaking of, have you heard and seen all the new Scrap Happy Exclusive stamps and stamp sets?  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Winter, Birthday.  OMG, so much beautious rubber and acrylic to ink up.  If you haven't please check them all out, HERE!

Okay, onto my Design Team project using American Crafts' Shoreline collection.  A beautiful, Summery line with bold colors, very gender neutral and lots of fun, I just can't get enough of the cutesy flip flops, surfboards, and bicycles scattered throughout the collection.  Below is a close-up of my project.  I did a card and a little gift bag with a pocket on the front to house the card I made!  Isn't it cute?

I used both the 6x6 pad and 12x12 collection pack to complete this project. 

 For the card I used Scrap Happy Sno Cone card base and covered the front completely with the designer paper.  I then cut a smaller piece of white cardstock, inked the edges in Scrap Happy Blue Raspberry Ink making it look almost like a sky.  I used the brand new Scrap Happy Thanksgiving stamp set for my sentiment, cut three sets of banners from the Scrap Happy Rounded Banner Trio Die lined them up and marked in pencil where I wanted the string.  I then used my We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy basic head to poke the holes for the banner then sewed it with coordination Sew Easy thread in Watermelon.  Glued everything on then added two Basic Grey brads tied a couple small ribbons, placed the rosette from the collection to mimic a sun and I was all done!

For the bag I inked the edges in Scrap Happy Blue Raspberry Ink adhered some coordinating paper, punched an edge with my EK Success Large Scallop Border punch and made a pocket to fit my card inside.  The card had so much dimension I didn't want to squash it in an envelope so I thought it would be cute, since they match to stick it in front.  I again added a larger rosette from the collection on the opposite corner as I did on the card.  Easy Peasy and so cute.
